Who We Are

Camp K-9 of Marin was founded by a Marin-based couple who were inspired by their dogs and friends to establish an environment that was dedicated to the health and well-being of dogs - a special place where dogs are free to run, play and socialize. As long-standing residents of Marin County, the founders have a true appreciation for the unique qualities of Marin that make dog ownership such a natural complement to living in this area. Perhaps this explains why Marin County has the highest per capita dog ownership ratio in the United States!

As the proud owners of several dogs, however, the founders soon discovered that the community was lacking a business that fully addressed the day care and overnight needs of their dogs. Thus began the inspiration that has since become Camp K-9 of Marin...

Together with Molly & Kirsten, this special group of dog lovers envisioned a place where dogs could be dogs, free to play and romp in large open areas, to exercise safely, and to enjoy basking in the sunshine with a good chew toy. A place where dogs could play in small well-matched groups, have a quiet comfortable place to nap, and where each one would enjoy individualized care, petting and attention.

As passionate dog-lovers, the founders of Camp K-9 of Marin have invested considerable resources to establish the premier dog day care and overnight facility. Importantly, no expense was spared in custom-tailoring our facility to best serve the needs of our clients and their dogs. Accordingly, the founders are committed to building a lasting business based on first-rate facilities, experienced and professional employees, and a dedication to customer services. These are the tenets and the foundation upon which our business was formed, and they embody the philosophy behind Camp K-9 of Marin. The founders are both dog-lovers as well as experienced business professionals and our belief is that we and our employees are capable of sustaining a world-class operation which we hope will capture the attention and loyalty of customers for many years to come.
