Camp Greeters

Steve Holloway

Steve Holloway

Front Office Manager Certified Pet Care Technician Certified in Pet CPR and First Aid

Steven was born and grew up in Marin County and comes to us with a great love for animals, especially dogs! He was raised with two German Shorthaired Pointers and a Boxer as babysitters. Over the years he has many other dogs, including a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, a Labrador Retriever, a Belgian Shepherd, and three Pugs! For Steve, the best part of working at Camp K-9 of Marin is the fact that it allows him the opportunity to interact with many wonderful people and then go play with their dogs!

Barbra Fogt-Aster

Barbra Fogt-Aster

Camp Greeter

Barbra has a degree in Interior Design and as flight attendant had the opportunity to travel all around the world. Eventually, she settled down in Marin County, raised two children and currently lives with two wonderful dogs and a bird. She loves her dogs and her bird, but wanted more dogs without more dog responsibility! She was a Camp K-9 of Marin customer and decided that if she worked with Camp K-9 of Marin she could be around more dogs and have the best of both worlds. Barbra loves meeting our great doggie parents and their outrageously wonderful dogs. She thinks that it doesn't get any better than that. If a greeter asks you to spell your last name -- even if it's Smith, you're talking with Barbra!

Lisa Gerhardt

Lisa Gerhardt

Camp Greeter

Lisa Gerhardt has been a dog lover since the day she was born. She feels she is part dog and her mom has stories to prove that! She grew up with many dogs in Newport Beach, CA. She migrated north and worked in the Travel Business for over twenty years. She now lives with her "Schnorgie" Bixby and they love to explore together. Travel and dogs have always been her passions and that is why she is such a great addition to our crew!

Monica Schindler

Monica Schindler

Camp Greeter

Monica grew up in Marin, spent years working for the airlines and traveled around the world. She has always loved dogs and had many in her day.  Her dog Roxy, a rat terrier mix, has been a camper with Camp K-9 of marin for over five years.  After her youngest child went to college she decided to go back to work and surround herself with doggies and dog lovers.  Monica is a great addition to our team.

Alexis Wood

Alexis Wood

Overnight Supervisor

Alexis was born in Loraine, Ohio and moved to California at the age of 3 months. She lived in Sonoma County for over 12 years, and has taken care of a multitude of animals from snakes and lizards to cats and dogs. Her favorite breed of dog is a German Shepard, thinks French Bulldogs are the cutest and looks forward to having a dog of her own someday. Alexis is currently going to school at College of Marin, working on two degrees in Administration of Justice, and Sociology.

Barbara Scott

Overnight Supervisor Certified Pet Care Technician Certified in Pet CPR and First Aid

Barbara has been passionate about animals all her life, and is a devoted animal protection advocate and legislation activist member of many pro-animal groups such as HSUS, ALDF and AVS.  She also volunteers at SF AC&C and SPCA, and is on their feral cat rescue/rehab team.  She is the proud guardian of her own rescue cats and former dogs, birds, horse, rats, hamsters and lizards.  For the most part, she would "rather be with animals than humans"--so she is very happy here full time being with and spoiling, our special overnight doggie campers.

Camp Trainers

Allyson Stoops

Allyson Stoops

Camp Trainer

Ally is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and her training philosophy is simple but effective -- improve relationships between people and their dog based on trust and cooperation. Since moving to the Bay Area in 1990, she's put this adage to the test with great results at the Peninsula Humane Society and then with her own training business, No Bones About It! Originally from Maine, Ally now "rests her dogs" locally in Mill Valley and loves spending her time actively training (and being trained...) by three children, two dogs and one husband.

Camp Counselors

Sydney Bannerman

Sydney Bannerman

Camp Counselor

Sydney has been surrounded by animals her whole life. She was born in Canada and grew up in Bali, Indonesia until she was 10 years old. As a girl she would walk around all the trash piles and collect the puppies that people did not want; she was always coming home with dogs, cats, insects, and rabbits. In her free time away from Camp, Sydney also dog sits for 6 local families. Sydney has her own pack, 4 dogs, Limo, Mini, Tofu, and Moose, as well as a horse named, Diamond. One day in the future Sydney would like to train and work with Avalanche dogs in Canada. She was born to be with animals, and could not be happier working at Camp K9 of Marin. She says, "Each day here, brings a smile to my face."

Trisha Barnes

Trisha Barnes

Matt DeGoulier

Her heart and her life revolve around her many dogs; a Standard Schnauzer, Popeye, Wilma the Hunting Brown Labrador, Charlie the Chihuahua, a Shiba Inu named Kai and her dad’s Giant Schnauzer, Jak.
